Built to fit.

We’re operators, implementers, and solution architects who have worked on plant floors and built the systems behind them.

01

The prebuilt compromise

Generalized software leaves gaps.

Prebuilt systems generalize core modules across industries, leaving each customer to configure and extend the product to fit its operation.

That customization can become a costly project of its own. Even then, teams may still need to change established processes to fit the software. Artifact starts with the operation’s requirements and shapes the software around them.

02

What changed

AI is changing how software gets built.

Anthropic’s leadership estimates that Claude writes at least 90% of the company’s code, including scripts and experiments.[1] A randomized study of 4,867 developers found about 26% more completed tasks with AI coding assistance.[2]

Artifact turns that progress into shorter implementation cycles and lower costs. AI-native delivery, a shared software foundation, and deep operating knowledge are the basis of our approach.

03

The human gate

AI moves fast. Humans make it reliable.

AI can write the software, but it can’t be assumed to understand every nuance of your business or implement every rule as intended. Industry experts validate the work at critical gates.

The result is a deterministic system: rules run consistently across every shift, and every transaction leaves an audit trail.

04

What guides the build

Business intent shouldn’t get lost in the handoffs.

In a fragmented implementation, operating knowledge, requirements, and development are split across teams. Each handoff creates opportunities for misunderstanding and rework.

Artifact uses documented operating knowledge and requirements to guide the initial build and future changes.

05

What you get back

Documentation stays current as the system changes.

Critical operating knowledge often goes undocumented. Artifact captures that knowledge and uses AI to keep documentation current as the software evolves.

Designed for the site

The work can’t stop when the internet drops.

A plant’s internet connection is one of the conditions its software needs to account for. Teams still need to receive materials, complete work, and move goods when that connection is interrupted.

That’s why Artifact can run locally at each site and sync when the connection returns. Continuity is designed into the system from the start.

Why the terms differ

The business should own its software.

Our value is in understanding your operation and turning that understanding into useful software. You own the resulting code and decide when the system changes, giving your team the flexibility to maintain and build on it as the business evolves.

The build is one fixed fee, based on project scope, not billable hours. Every operator should be able to use the system. That’s why we don’t charge per seat.
