Questions, answered.
What to expect when we work together.
01How do you turn our processes into software?
We work with your team to capture procedures and exceptions, including what hasn’t been written down. Your approved requirements guide the plan and build. AI helps produce the software. Industry experts review and verify throughout the process.
02Does it work with the systems we already have, or replace them?
Either. Keep what works, and we connect to it. Replace what you’ve outgrown, and Artifact takes over that scope. Either way, your data stays accessible to other systems.
03How long does a build take?
It depends. Every build is custom, so your business requirements determine the timeline. We scope the implementation with your team and provide a delivery schedule before the build starts. Your team tests the system before go-live.
04What documentation comes with the system?
Four sections: Functional for the people who use it, Technical for the people who support it, Admin for setup and access control, and Onboarding for new users. Each is updated with every release.
05Where does it run?
In the cloud, on your own server, or both at once. Pick what fits each site. A site that can’t stop when the internet drops can get a local satellite. Work carries on and syncs back when the connection returns.
06What does it cost?
The build is one fixed fee, based on project scope. Headcount will not affect the price, and the source code is yours from go-live.
Monthly fee if we host it. No recurring fee if you host it. No starting price: every build is scoped individually.
07Will you push updates we didn’t ask for?
No. Your system changes only when you ask for a change. No forced upgrades, no surprise regression testing.
08How do support and change requests work after go-live?
As needed. Support and change requests are billed per request, not as a subscription, and each one is scoped with you before we start. Your team can also make changes themselves: the code is yours.
09What if the Artifact team can no longer support us?
If we stop working together, we provide a handover to your team, covering access, deployment, and maintenance. We walk them through the system so they can take over.
